In 1946, he started working for 'Janmabhoomi' in Mumbai, and in 1950, he joined the Gujarati department of 'USSR' in Mumbai. In 1955, he traveled to America. In 1962, he retired from 'USSR'. From 1966 onwards, he published the literary magazine 'Ruchi'. In 1957, he was awarded the Ranjitram Suvarnachandra Medal and the Narmad Suvarna Chandrak.
